Wednesday 23rd July 2025 - Explore the Exciting World of Robotics!
Discover how robots work — from Zippy, the world’s smallest robot at just 2.5 inches, to Optimus Prime, towering at 6 metres tall.
10 AM-12 Noon : Learn How Real Robots Work:
Robot arms are becoming increasingly common in industries and everyday life. In this hands-on workshop, you'll explore how they function—and get to develop and build your very own moving robot arm!
12.30 PM-2.30 PM : Build Your Own Mini Production Line
From food factories to Amazon warehouses, conveyor belt systems play a key role in efficient material handling and transport. In this hands-on activity, you'll design and build a working conveyor belt to move products along.
Monday 18th August 2025- Bridges and Towers
Learn about structural engineering by exploring the evolution of tall buildings and their structures.
10 AM-12 Noon : Bridge Building:
Can you build a bridge that can support 1, 2, or 3 kilograms of weight? Test your design and see how much load it can bear before collapsing.
12.30 PM-2.30 PM : Design Your Own Skyscraper:
Use your creativity to design and build a towering structure—can you make one taller than yourself?
South Gloucestershire Council are offering holiday activities and food clubs (also referred to as HAF) for children aged 5 to 16 years who live in South Gloucestershire.
This is for children who are aged between 5 to 16 years old and receive benefits-related free school meals.
