Piano Recital by Joshua Milton
St John's Church & Centre
Josh is in his final year at the Royal College of Music, and has arranged to bring his performance for his final assessment to Chipping Sodbury
Pieces Josh has chosen to play include:
Bach Prelude and Fugue in B flat Major (WTC Book I)
Beethoven Sonata no.4 in E flat major 1st Movement
Mendelssohn Rondo Capriccioso in E Minor
Ravel Sonatine Movements 2 and 3
His performance will be approximately 30 minutes, after which refreshments with homemade cakes will be served.
I'm sure will all wish to come along not only to enjoy beautiful piano music but also to support Josh as he prepares for his final assessment.
Josh says "I have been playing the piano from a young age and studied at Wells Cathedral School (a specialist music school) on a full scholarship under Olena Shvetsova. Following this I have started my studies at the Royal College of Music under Professor John Byrne on a full scholarship, I am the Fishmongers Edwards Colyer Bequest Scholar of the RCM. I am also a teacher at a music academy in East London and have 24 pupils who I wish to inspire into the next generation of young musicians.
I am approaching the end of my time at the Royal College of Music and this concert would provide me with a chance to perform my programme before I am assessed."
Should you require further details please let Paul Jones-Williams know and we look forward to welcoming you all on the 12th.
