Promoting community engagement, events and activities. The group was formed to bring the community back together during and after covid.
Regular events include a Tuck Shop on Mondays, 3.30-4pm, term time only. Find us outside of St. Nix youth wing, facing the play area. Most items 50p or less. We also hold a Swap Shop on the 1st Saturday of the month - see the what's on calendar for dates of these and other events.
Thanks to our volunteers, Chipping Sodbury and Yate St John Ambulance division has been supplying First Aid to local events for several years, from a variety of Athletics at Yate Outdoor Sports Complex to Horton fell runs, Gymkhanas, carnivals and Heritage events.
Providing this vital First Aid is a rewarding and often challenging experience. St John Ambulance as an organisation has helped Badgers, Cadets and Adults to achieve many social and fundamental life skills. Its members are vital to the organisation and in return; members achieve qualifications and confidence and a whole new network of friends.
Prominently located in the iconic Clock Tower building on the High Street, Chipping Sodbury Tourist Information Centre is open Monday to Saturday 10am-4pm (closed Sundays), from March to December.
The Tourist Information Centre is staffed by volunteers who freely donate their time to help serve the local community and visitors to the town. New volunteers are always welcome.
We are funded by grants, donations and paid-for advertising in our large window space. We stock a range of books, gifts, maps and leaflets and sell tickets for local events. Look out for new stock arriving soon!

We encourage visits by individuals and groups to and from linked towns and the development of personal contacts. By doing so we aim to broaden mutual understanding of the cultural, recreational, educational and commercial activities of the linked towns.
