Hi Everyone!

We’ve reached the height of summer, and Yate is buzzing with fun, food, festivals, and free activities...

Escape to the seaside without leaving town! Yate Shopping Centre’s beach is back, with a programme of free activities, leading up to a spectacular 60th anniversary event.

Just down the road, Eat Chipping Sodbury returns, serving up mouth-watering treats from local producers and street food stalls.

Our events calendar is packed with ways to entertain your youngsters over the school holidays - highlights include Yate Library's Summer Reading Challenge and Bloodhound STEM Quest.

Help make Yate greener - join the Rusty Riders for a cycling refresher and check out Yate Heritage Centre's Rewilding Yate Exhibition.

Struggling with bills, housing, or food costs? Drop in to the Cost of Living Community Roadshow for friendly advice and support, and give yourself the chance of free treats with our latest competitions. Enter now and you could win Ensemble Renard concert tickets and a copy of Blue Chalk, Red Blood, White Lightning, the latest tale of intrigue and suspense from master of cold war espionage fiction and local resident David Brierley.

Finally, get your dancing shoes ready as Inglefest brings a mix of live music, DJs, and family fun to Yate for a great way to round off the summer.

Keep checking the MyYate.co.uk calendar for the latest local updates and if you have events to share with the community, we’d love to hear from you.

Here's to a summer of sunshine and smiles!

Best wishes,

Claire
