Hello and welcome to your February edition of MyYate.co.uk's newsletter! It’s the month of love, and we have exciting events news to share. Read on to discover what's happening in and around Yate this month.

If you're a fan of all things woolly, don’t miss the chance to win tickets to the Sodbury Yarn Over Festival! This vibrant and creative event is back for a second year, and we’re giving away a chance for you to be part of the fun.

Looking for something cultural to brighten up your February? Why not visit the Yate Heritage Centre and enjoy their first community art exhibition of the year? This event features local artists and is a perfect way to appreciate the creative talent in our community. It's free to visit, and who knows, you might find a new piece of art to inspire you.

Get into the Valentine’s spirit with a bit of friendly competition! Gather your friends or bring your loved ones to the Church Quiz Night for an evening of fun and challenging questions.

Looking for fun, hands-on ways to keep the little ones entertained over half term? Take them to Yate Heritage Centre for an Indian Clay Workshop and to the Library for sessions on Craft and Culture.

There's a fantastic opportunity for those interested in making a real difference to the lives of children in our community - if you've ever thought about becoming a foster carer, drop in to a special Find out about Fostering event.

There's also an advice roadshow on how to stay warm and well this winter, and as a new booking system opens this February for visits to Yate's Sort It Centre from March - find out how to book your timeslot.

Keep checking the MyYate.co.uk calendar to see everything happening in Yate this February and if you have events to share with the community, we’d love to hear from you!

Best wishes,

Claire
